​CDL Truck Driver

Job Summary 

The CDL Truck Driver is responsible for the safe operation of commercial vehicles to transport construction equipment, building materials, and supplies to job sites throughout the local area. This position requires excellent driving skills, strong safety awareness, and the ability to work independently while maintaining communication with the operations team. 

The CDL Truck Driver performs loading and unloading duties, conducts pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, maintains delivery documentation, and ensures all materials arrive at job sites safely and on schedule. Home every night with minimal overnight travel. 

Key Responsibilities 

​

• Operate Class A and Class B commercial vehicles safely and in compliance with all DOT regulations 

• Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections 

• Maintain clean driving record and comply with all traffic laws 

• Follow established routes and safety protocols 

• Report any vehicle issues, accidents, or safety concerns immediately 

• Load construction equipment and building materials using proper techniques 

• Secure cargo properly to prevent shifting or damage during transport 

• Unload materials at job sites according to site supervisor instructions 

• Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other loading equipment as needed 

• Verify load weights and ensure compliance with vehicle capacity limits 

• Communicate with leadership and project managers regarding delivery schedules 

• Maintain accurate driver logs and hours of service records 

• Complete required DOT paperwork and maintain compliance 

• Submit timesheets on schedule 

• Maintain current CDL license, medical certificate, and endorsements 

Qualifications

• Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) 

• Current DOT medical certificate 

• Minimum 2 years of commercial driving experience 

• Clean driving record with no major violations in the past 3 years 

• Ability to pass pre-employment drug screening and background check 

• Physical ability to lift up to 75 pounds and perform loading/unloading duties 

• Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and safety requirements 

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs. 

• Ability to stand, kneel, bend, and work in various weather conditions 

• Ability to sit for long periods of time
